Here's what's happening in Palmoli

New on the site
  • I know, it's been a while, but some new updates have been added.  On the photos page, I've added
    some pix of the snow we had at the beginning of April.  The panorama view shows Palmoli as seen
    from the town of Tufillo.
  • Also, House Around Italy has recently opened an agency in the area and I've featured the houses
    that they currently have listed for sale on the For Sale/Rent page.

  • Check out the new photos page to see a slideshow and other photos from the Pacchianelle.  I'll be
    adding more photos throughout the year.

  • The festival season is now getting into full swing.  There's a link to the program for summer 2007 on

Upcoming events:
  • July 14 & 15, the 3rd annual "Tra le Mure del Borgo".  Visitors can take a journey into the past at this
    festival held in the medieval section of town.  See how things were done in times past, visit the
    "Mostra Mercato" to see some of the local handicrafts and taste some of the typical local products.

New on the site:
  • A new page has been added for typical local products - split off from the information page.
  • Information and a link has also been added for "La Bruna" a local cheese producer.  The site is in
    both English and Italian. (site designed by us)  We hope to add more local producers to our "ring" of
    sites.  We can also arrange visits for anyone interested.  As regular customers, we can assure you
    that the cheese is fantastic.

  • The museum will officially open next weekend for the summer season.  The schedule is posted on the
    "What to see" page along with a list of other local sites observing the same hours.

New on the site:
  • I've added a links page to the site - the English version anyway.  I'll be adding one to the italian
    version very soon.  It's listed in the menu above.  Some of these links are reciprocal - meaning that
    we have a link on their site.  Some are just of interest.  If you know of any I should add, or a
    particular category you'd like to see, please send me an email.  You can go directly to the links page
    from the menu above or just click here.

New on the site:
  • I've split off the calendar page and the festival page so that I could add the entire calendar for the
    year of all the events in the area.  So, now there are two pages:  Festivals - which gives the dates and
    talks about the festivals here in Palmoli - and Calendar - which gives you a quick view at the next 3
    weeks plus the list of all the events for the year.  That way, if you want to plan your trip to visit the
    area, you'll know what's scheduled.
  • If you haven't signed the guestbook yet, now's a good time to do so.  The people here in Palmoli
    would love to hear from you.

    We'll continue to add more information about other towns, so check back often.

    Italiana Per la Ricerca sul Cancro
  • May 23 - from 4pm-6pm in Piazza Umberto the Children's center will be holding a street market
    featuring the works done by the children over the course of the year.
